Easy and Cheap Hair Masks with Natural Ingredients

Once upon a time, women were real ladies with strikingly and stunning shinny hair.
Here are some of the secrets our grandmas have shared with us during the years.
Hope you enjoy!
* tsn = tablespoon
Beer Mask:
Mix well 2 tsn (tablespoons) of beer with an egg and massage onto wet hair.
Leave for 20-30 mins and then rinse off and shampoo as usual. This will give back strength to tired hair.
Honey Mask 1:
Stir 4 glasses of warm water and 1 tsn of honey melt.
It is a leave-in lotion used after shampooing that would give your hair great gloss!
Honey Mask 2:
Mix well 3 tsn of honey and 5 tpn of olive oil and lightly massage the ends first and then the rest of your hair. Bundle up in a hot wet towel around them and wait for 30 mins. Use a moisturizing shampoo afterwards and rinse off well with warm-hot water.
Tip : You can also use almond oilessential oil and replace the olive oil in the mask. That would give you even better results!
Nutrient and Moisturizing Mask: (for dry and dehydrated hair)
Mix well 1 tsn of olive oil, 1/2 banana, 1 egg yolk and 3 avocados until pulp.
Massage roots to ends with pulp and leave for apx. 60 mins using a hot towel around them. Rinse off and shampoo as usual.
You can repeat 2-3 times a week. Your hair will be so silky you won't believe!
Tip : For shiny hair you can also squeeze out half a lemon in 4 glasses of water and after shampooing, wet your hair with that "lemonade" , leave for 2 mins and rinse off well.
Nutrient Mask:
You will need
  • 4 tsn sunflower oil
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tsn lemon juice
  • 1 egg yolk
Spread this well mixed mask in dry hair, get a hot towel around them and leave for 30 mins. You'll be amazed!
Protein Mask:
Add 5 tsn of yogurt in 1 egg yolk well stirred until froth. Carefully spread along hair and rinse off in 15 mins.
For Split Ends:
Mix well 1 tsp of honey, an egg yolk and 2 tsn of olive oil and spread on the ends carefully. Leave it for about half an hour and then shampoo as usual. Even better results if you use aluminium foil around ends.
Olive Oil Mask:
Just spread olive oil in the entire length of your hair and leave as much as possible (more than 30 mins) . The longer the better!
For even better results use a hot towel around them. Your hair will be extra moisturized and looking healtier even from first use!
Tip: You can also add an egg yolk and make it even more nutrient!
Just be careful to rinse off well. You don't want to look greasy!

Did you think this is it????

It is amazing how many things you can accomplish with all the purest ingredients found in your kitchen. For example, did you know that you can make your favourite red hair color more vibrant? How about giving your hair a protein boost and help them get that extra volume we all have been struggling to achieve with tons of mouse and hairspray?
Here are some simple, quick and effective ways to get it all!!!
Red Hair? Let’s make them shine like rubies!
Everybody knows that red hair is striking beautiful at first, but the red hair dye fades so quickly that we never get enough of the vibrant red color we have initially chosen. Hard water does a lot of damage to the color, especially when it is unfiltered; however there is a way to give back oomph to fading red dye, skipping the time (and money) consuming re-dying process. The secret is to pour cranberry juice on your hair and let it sit for 5-10 mins before rinsing it off. Your hair will be rejuvenated and your red…simply ravishing! It is perfect for a quick touch up, at times when you don’t have time for something more.
How about some natural moisture and homemade conditioning?
It is widely known (especially to moms!) that eggs are loaded with vitamins. The only thing you might not have considered is that vitamins found in eggs nourish both your skin and hair as well! Other than that, eggs contain fatty acids that are responsible for conditioning and moisturizing skin and hair too. How great is that?
It makes sense that if you add an egg (whipped, of course!) in your shampoo (homemade also?!!) can open new dimensions to your hair and make them more luscious. Alternatively, you can whip up several eggs and apply them on dry hair, use some plastic wrap to wrap your hair and leave for 15 mins before you rinse off with lukewarm water. It is important that the water you use to rinse the eggs of is not hot…otherwise you will have made yourself a nice omelet!
Are you experiencing thin and breakable hair? Time to fix it!
You can make your hair stronger and less breakable hair by giving them a protein boost, like the ones your stylist must have suggested to you at one time, only far less expensive. Instead of a pricey hair protein treatment you can just dissolve a packet of gelatin in hot water and massage your hair with the solution. Leave for ½ an hour before you rinse off well.
Note: Be careful not to mix gelatin with jello!
Time to add some volume to that lifeless hair!
Brewskies accompany a night with some friends over, watching you favourite DVD or show on TV. However, the yeast contained in beer is a natural plumber for your strands, while the other ingredients, such as the barley and wheat, help your hair become stronger. All you need to do is to open a can or bottle of beer and let open until the beer becomes flat (it might take 1-2 hours). Then, pour the flat beer in a spray bottle and spray your hair with the beer.
Alternatively, you can make a mask with beer by mixing:
1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
½ a cup of beer (flat)
1 egg
Mix all the ingredients well and apply to damp hair, leave for about 12-15 mins and rinse off well. Volume and shiny, healthy looking hair will be all you will be looking at in the mirror!
